Frequently asked questions
Why and how does massage work?
Massage causes physiological changes in your body through relaxation and also the effects that occur in the body when pressure is applied to the tissues. Together, these responses can produce physical and emotional benefits.
What will the 1st appointment be like?
Your first appointment will begin with a health history. The therapist will outline what will happen in the session and will leave the room so that you are able to undress (if necessary) and make yourself comfortable. You will be asked if you would like music and if you are warm enough.
What are the health benefits?
Many people use massage for relaxation, muscle pain and assisting with postural correction. General benefits such as increasing blood circulation and easing stress and tension will benefit everyone.
