Debra from Bedford - client for 18 months

I have had a recurrent and resistant issue with my neck and shoulder. I have sought 'conventional' therapies, of painkillers, anti-inflammatory medication and had a referral to a physiotherapist. However, in my experience the only sustained successful treatment for the pain is via massage from Miss Smith. Painkillers have masked the discomfort but not addressed the shoulder pain at source. Exercises from the physiotherapist help, but again, only with limited success.
I have received Tuina massage from Miss Smith on the affected area and on various other pressure points on my back, neck and shoulder and this has often helped. She eases out the tension, identifies the root of the problem and can successfully treat the most stubborn knots or tense muscles. She can also perform relaxing massages that invigorate or soothe, just for pleasure! I would not hesitate to thoroughly recommend Miss Smith's therapeutic and healing skills of massage.

'Over many years Jo has effectively treated my injuries, owing to her breadth of knowledge, insight, skill and a genuine sense that my ailments are a problem for us both to solve!'

Andrew – visiting from the South – April 2013

During a very stressful period I needed to be away from home for a couple of weeks and due to the distances involved it wasn’t practical to travel home for treatment by my regular therapist.

Jo was kind enough to fit me in and did an excellent job!

Until I met Jo I thought my normal therapist was fine.  However, Jo’s underlying skill and the mix of techniques she used were very effective at quickly reducing my physical and psychological stress levels.  There is no doubt in my mind that I’d permanently change to Jo if I lived locally.

When I next see my usual therapist I’ll have to find a way of providing feedback on how effective Jo’s session proved.  I’m only slightly nervous!
